ADELAIDE FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2015 DATES AND TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Adelaide Film Festival, the country’s youngest but most dynamic national screen event, will light up venues across South Australia in 2015, running from October 15-25.

AFF Director and CEO Amanda Duthie today announced the 2015 dates, promising to highlight the best of local, Australian and internationally produced films, with an eclectic mix of cinema, television, art and the moving image.

Established in 2002, AFF has been privileged to support the careers of many Australian filmmakers and artists and South Australian screen projects.

AFF Chairperson Sandra Sdraulig AM today welcomed two new AFF board members, Martha Coleman and Maria Ravese.

Ms Coleman is a producer of film and television with over 20 years experience, in Australia and London.

Her career began as an independent producer of the seminal Australian film Praise (Fipresci Award winner, and official selection in Sundance, Berlin and Toronto International Film Festivals).

This was followed by roles in the UK at Icon Entertainment International and Newline owned joint venture company Material Entertainment. Her credits there include the box office smash Run Fatboy, Run (Executive Producer). Returning to Australia in 2009, Ms Coleman was Head of Development at Screen Australia. This year, she joined Goalpost Pictures Australia as a Producer.

As a partner with PwC, Ms Ravese leads the Adelaide People Business focused on the provision of taxation and HR related services associated with employment.

Ms Ravese has extensive experience in working with clients in the entertainment industry, working across PwC’s offices London, Sydney and now Adelaide, for the past 17 years. She has also been a contributor to PwC’s annual Outlook publication, outlining global trends in the media and entertainment industry.

They replace Rising Sun Pictures director Wayne Lewis and award-winning screen producer Sue Maslin, who have both completed their nine-year terms on the AFF board.

Ms Sdraulig said of the new appointments: “We are thrilled to welcome Martha and Maria to the AFF Board as we prepare for the 2015 AFF events. I wish to acknowledge the extraordinary contribution from Wayne and Sue to the AFF Board over the last nine years and all the value their experience and generosity has contributed to AFF.”
