AFF wins Best Festival at the 2021 Ruby Awards

We are proud to announce that Adelaide Film Festival is winner of the coveted Best Festival award at the 2021 Ruby Awards.

The Ruby Awards celebrate success and achievement within the South Australian arts and events community. AFF has a track record for recognition at the Awards, previously winning Best Work Within a Festival in 2019 (for the AFFIF-backed Hotel Mumbai), and Best Event in 2014.

The 2020 edition of AFF was one of only a handful of film festivals in the world that were able to go ahead during the initial year of the pandemic. Despite the challenges of running a major festival amid border closures, social distancing and constant uncertainty, we managed to host an amazing event which broke our previous box office records and did an extended run after selling out screenings.
