Shaped by her totem, Bukal Bukal (the Black lawyer vine), this documentary weaves the extraordinary life of Yindji woman and activist Henrietta Marrie AM with her Country. Her work has transformed Indigenous rights and reshaped the way governments, corporations and international institutions engage with land, culture and custodianship. An activist, academic, elder and leader, her wish is to bring home her family's ancestral artefacts from the British Museum to strengthen the next generation. The film explores a deeper question of belonging, healing and the enduring relationship between people, culture and Country.
